WATERPROOF FIBREGLASS CASTS

We use the latest fibreglass cast and waterproof liners; they are lighter, stronger and waterproof, which means that you can go swimming, have a shower or a bath. The Delta Dry waterproof liner, designed to get wet, allows for great ventilation so it easily dries.

Aircast Walker Boots

Many foot and ankle fractures can be treated using a walking boot. Depending on whether the break is in the foot or in the ankle will differ in whether we allocate a short or a long boot. The advantage of a boot, is frequently they can be removed for showering and sleeping compared to having a cast on.

The Short Aircast walking boot offers a solution to a number of indications related to the forefoot, mid-foot and hind foot injuries, as well as some ankle injuries, such as:

  • Metatarsal fracture

  • Stress and stable fracture of the foot

  • Bunionectomy, hallux valgus

  • Soft tissue injury

  • Severe ankle sprain

The Long Aircast Walker Boot indications are

  • Stable fracture of foot / ankle / lower leg

  • Severe ankle sprain

  • Post-operative immobilisation

The Aircast Boot has a durable, semi-rigid shell that helps support the limb while providing protection. The pre-inflated front panel and two adjustable distal aircells, housed within the shell, provide compression and support. SoftStrike technology absorbs and dissipates shock, while the light weight and lab-tested rocker sole combine to encourage a natural gait and a continuation of everyday activities.
